December 17-18: Water safety training @ Mawlamyine (exact location to be determined). Topic: Participants will learn the basics of water safety. No swimming skills required. Priority will be given to Mawlamyine and Bago University faculty/students, then to members of organizations working locally in Gulf of Mottama area. December 15-18: Water safety Training of Trainers @ Mawlamyine (exact location to be determined). Topic: This training will teach a small group of future trainers the basics of water safety (Dec 15-16). These trainers will then practice training students in water safety (Dec 17-18). Requirements: Basic swimming skills, strong communication/teaching skills. Priority will be given to Mawlamyine and Bago University faculty/students, then to members of organizations working locally in Gulf of Mottama area. November 15-17: Intensive workshop @ Mawlamyine University. Topic: Research Project Skills – Proposal Writing, Project Design, and Report Writing. Participants: Selected faculty and students from Mawlamyine University (Marine Science, Zoology, Botany) and Bago University (Zoology, Geography).
August 24: Seminar @ Bago University. Introduction to Coastal Conservation Science. Participants: Master’s and Honors students from Zoology and Geography
